The weekend trip to Lednice- Valtice area, the genuine heart of the South Moravian region, is going to start on Saturday, 12th May in the morning and the arrival back to Brno is aimed on the next day evening. Please get gathered in the main railway station hall at 8.15 on Saturday at the latest! During these two days we are about to experience the vast variety of southern moravian culture in all its distinctive ways. Not only are we going to visit the Lednice castle, enjoy a horse-carriage trip in the castle garden or a float on a boat , but you will also see a performance of the birds of prey and much more. The top attraction is the visit of the Valtice underground – a nation-famous labyrinth of the cellars, where you will be offered various kinds of wine, a little dish and above all a proper description of viniculture in South Moravia held by a professional somelier. During the evening, we´d like to visit the annual Valtice Wine Market Festival and enjoy the programme on the square. Afterwards we´ll set off to our hostel, which includes breakfast in the morning.
On Sunday then, we’re gonna spend some time walking round the town of Mikulov, the centre of the region, and have a nice relaxing trip to the local sacred hill, after the previous exhausting evening ;-)
We will get back to Brno till 7pm on Sunday.
