Oi! Tudo bem? My name is Helen, I'm a Brazilian born to Spanish/Polish parents and I'll be teaching Brazilian Portuguese this semester through the International Student Club! I came to Brno straight from a journey of almost four years in the United States studying Teaching English as a Second Language and practicing my skills on that teaching languages to international students (the same I did in Brazil while being a student of Portuguese and Italian Languages and Literature at the Universidade de São Paulo). Would you like to know more about the only Portuguese speaking country in Latin America – culture, customs, traditions, curiosities – as well as learning how to communicate with over 200 million people who speak this language? Come learn more about the country that will be hosting the next Olympic Games, World Cup, has the sixth largest economy in the world (we have just passed the UK on that! :-D ) and the beauty of Rio de Janeiro, samba, futebol and Carnaval!
