PROBLEMS OF RECOGNITION IN MAKING ERASMUS

ESN International upon request from the European Commission has developed the PRIME project to identify obstacles towards recognition of studies abroad. This project will reshape the landscape of student mobility through some easy steps:

  • Collect different application procedures (learning agreements) of various universities / faculties.
  • Compare these procedures.
  • Prepare final report.
  • Present report to sections, European Commission, professional education association, country governments, universities etc.
The first step can only be done by ESN sections because you have the knowledge and contacts. This phase lasts approximately from August 2008 until April 2009 depending on your semester dates. The last three steps will be conducted mainly by an international project team in which you also can take part. These stages have most workload from August 2008 to October 2009 and can involve sections on a voluntary basis with your prior agreement.

PRIME has the support of important organisations such as European Association for International Education, European Universities Association, European Students Union and AEGEE.

ISC MU Brno can't miss the opportunity to take part in such important project of ESN. For more information about PRIME in MU contact Marcela Dibelková, our lovely PRIME coordinator.

ESN Survey

Every year, ESN launches a survey that explores the most important issues concerning academic and non-academic mobility. It is one of the biggest and most successful projects of ESN International - last year more than 8,000 students responded to the online survey. Through the gathered opinions of the students, ESN gets a better insight in what students experience and this allows us to represent better the students' real needs.
