April and May 2012 (especially the 9th of May)
ISC MU Brno in cooperation with ISC Mendelu and ISC VUT will organize ERASMUS DAYS 2012 in order to celebrate 25th anniversary of program Erasmus in Europe. We proudly offer you many events to enjoy 25 years of this amazing program, which helps students from Europe to get to know different cultures, educational systems, meet new people and much more. Come with us and show YOUR Erasmus spirit!
At the same time SocialErasmus Week will take place too. What is SocialErasmus? It is the project‘s goal is to give foreign students the possibility not only to get to know new culture and educational system, but also to involve them in events for the local community. We are also trying to promote a social attitude to exchange students all over Europe with the events of various kinds.
For WHAT you can look forward to?
- Exhibition(4th-15th April, Atrium Faculty of Social Studies) - Let’s see stories from former Erasmus students, history of Erasmus, interesting facts about ESN, exchange student’s life in pictures and much more in exhibition to significant anniversary.
- • Run to Spilberk hill- the way how to study abroad (9th May 1 p.m., Spilberk park) – purpose of this action game is to show to high school students the „hard way“ which needs to be conquered from applying for Erasmus program to settling in new home. In this game will be checkpoints, where students have to fulfill tasks simulating steps that need to be taken throughout Erasmus application procedure. Of course in funny way! And how can you participate? – Come help us and show young people your Erasmus spirit. SocialErasmus.
- Erasmus and Kids Got Talent (9th May 5 p.m., Culture Centrum Stadium) - the „big“ show, where you can reveal your artistic or musical talent, perform a theatre piece, dance piece or sing and so on. In this competition will also participate small children from elementary schools. If you have not only Erasmus spirit, but the Social spirit as well, you can help with preparing these children for the performance during the semester (approximately once in 2 weeks, some afternoons, during March and April). - Erasmus Birthday Night (9th May 9.30 p.m., Culture Centrum Stadium) - Let’s go party! You can expect great Czech band Apatheia and excellent DJ show which will last till early morning hours. We will start with Fashion Show of national styles. Very special surprise and competitions for prizes are included too! Come to show YOUR style.
- Info point (9th- 10th May 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., City center) - Let’s help us to present Erasmus, student mobility over Europe, ESN and exchange life in CZ to general public in Brno.
- Euroepan Day (11th May 9-12 p.m., City center) & European Lessons - come with us to tell your Erasmus story, discuss studies abroad and much more with students at high school.
WHO:
Every exchange student (not only Erasmus students). For free entrance at the party, please, take your university card.
Anyone, who wants to be a bit socialy active and show Erasmus spirit to local people (especially to children), can be also involved in organization of Run to Spilberk hill, Erasmus and Kids Got Talent and European Day. If you participate in SocialErasmus events, you will receive a special diploma from Erasmus Student Network.
