    Planetarium Kraví Hora

    The program includes visit of the planetarium and "Story of the Solar System" plus observation of the night sky. All the expositions and lectures are in English and prepared especially for our group!

    OPERA: Aida - G. Verdi

    Aida is an opera in four acts by Giuseppe Verdi to an Italian libretto by Antonio Ghislanzoni, based on a scenario often attributed to French Egyptologist Auguste Mariette, although Verdi biographer Mary Jane Phillips-Matz has argued that the scenario was actually written by Temistocle Solera. Aida was first performed at the Khedivial Opera House in Cairo on 24 December 1871, conducted by Giovanni Bottesini.

    Mendel's Museum + Interactive Exhibition

    The exhibition is presenting Mendel in an authentic place of Augustinian Abbey in Old Brno as a complex person, which had not moved only in boundaries of cultivation, but in a lot of lines of work. The exhibition is divided into 5 rooms. The first room represents the Abbey in 19th century, the second room represents Mendel as a person. The third room is dedicated to Mendel’s cultivation, fruit-growing, beekeeping and meteorological activities. The penultimate room introduces Mendel as a founder of principles of heredity. The milestones of genetics are explained in the last room.

    Villa Tugendhat

    Villa Tugendhat is a historical building in Brno, Czech Republic. It is one of the pioneering prototypes of modern architecture in Europe, and was designed by the German architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Built of reinforced concrete between 1928-1930 for Fritz Tugendhat and his wife Greta, the villa soon became an icon of modernism.     Ballet: Swan lake

    Swan Lake ballet, Op. 20, by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, was composed in 1875–1876. The scenario, initially in four acts, was fashioned from Russian folk tales and tells the story of Odette, a princess turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer's curse. The choreographer of the original production was Julius Reisinger.
